9 Days

I had my weekly appointments again yesterday, and Dr. Grant (ultrasound guru) said something rather disturbing... he said "We need you to stay pregnant for at least 9 more days." I was like, "9 DAYS?! Shouldn't it be a little longer then that?!" I don't know if I'm ready to start counting days! Anyway, that's really just typical Dr. Grant, and he wasn't saying he thought I wouldn't stay pregnant for 9 more days, or even that I would go into labor then. He was just letting me know that in 9 more days I would be "term" and the baby would be ok if I went into laboor anytime after that. It was just a little disturbing to hear it talked about in days, rather than weeks... and single digit days on top of that!

Otherwise my appointments went just fine. Dr. Boulicault said I am 1 cm dialated all the way through now, but not effaced at all. She said I would probably be pregnant for awhile still, which was nice to hear after the 9 days comment! I do have Group B Strep, but that's no big deal, just some antibiotics during labor. So everything (and everyone) looks healthy and ready to go! :) And I got this really cute picture... it's a profile, and you can see her lips and tongue sticking out. She kept doing that during the ultrasound, it was so cute! Enjoy! :)
