Well, it was a little more than a day, but let's just say that the nursery looks TOTALLY DIFFERENT now! :) See, Ellen threw me a baby shower with the ladies from church, and it was a lot of fun! I was surprised by how many people came, it was so nice of them. And Ellen (and Mom, who had it at her house) did such a great job with everything. The food was great (not that I was able to eat much of it, which was frustrating) and it was a nice, relaxed shower. I'm not a big fru-fru person (I know, a shock), so it was mostly just hanging out, talking, eating, and telling stories. And, of course, opening presents! Which is not my favorite thing to do in a huge group of people, but I felt pretty comfortable this time. Anyway, it was awesome, especially seeing how many people came, and how excited they are for me and Josh. So here are some pictures from the big event...
The cake... isn't it cute?! Ellen and Ruth helping me unwrap
Josh's favorite present- a Daddy's diaper changing kit, complete with tongs, masks, gloves, and (of course) diapers.
The previously clean nursery...
And, since our nursery looked like the Target baby department exploded in it, Josh and I spent Thursday night organizing, hanging, building, and playing with all of the fun baby stuff we got! So now we have a nursery that might actually be close to ready for a baby... except for the missing changing table. Our daughter has more clothes than I do, I think... I hung stuff up all evening, and ran out of hangers (even though we had 40 of them) before I got everything hung up. Then we filled the dresser, too! Josh built a bouncy seat, a swing and the high chair. We had a lot of fun doing it, and seeing the nursery so put together makes me so excited about having a baby! I can't believe, only 7 (or so) more weeks to go...
The already full closet, the swing, and the new bouncy seat, complete with waterfall! :)
The crib... we had the hardest time deciding which blankets to put on the edges, because Ellen made us a quilt, Danette made us a quilt, Susie did some beautiful crochet on a blanket, and Libby (from Midway school) knitted us this neat blanket. So they're all four hanging on there for now! :)
Truman helped, as usual! :)

Oh my gosh! How fun! Can you believe how generous people are? We have 4 hand made quilts given to us too, and that was after we had bought her one to match her room :) No one has ever made me a quilt...but my 9 week old has 4. Needless to say, she is loved. Do you ha ve anymore showers? Stuff will keep coming regardless... there are those in your life that everytime you see them they have another baby gift. I am so excited for you. I can't believe its only 7 more weeks :) I went 2 early too, so you never know!
